Sunday musings

So, yes, I do like the idea of doing a themed post for different days. Obviously Sundays should be devoted to the Lord. Maybe call Sunday posts “Catholic Commentary”? We’ll see…

Our weekend was so jam-packed (with work, a short trip back home for my in-laws’ Christmas party, and a St Mary’s Young Adult Christmas party) that pretty much the only mass we could make it to was 8 pm this evening. Since it was so late, we settled into the empty cry room, hoping Mary could catch some zzz’s. She nursed well, and had drowsy eyes, so we thought she’d fall asleep any minute. During the sign of the peace, Mark leaned over to give her a kiss, and she let out a big giggle. It made us both giggle and smile for quite awhile. We’re so lucky to have such a beautiful, joyful child.

We’re also lucky to be forming good friendships with other young adults in our parish. I’m not saying our Catholic friends are perfect or without sin, but it is nice to find people who share our values.

A fairly lame post for my first Catholic commentary, but my laptop was dying. Maybe next week I’ll talk about Advent!
