a year abroad

Mark and I talked about how fun it would be to live abroad for a year. More specifically, in Italy.

For a long time, Mark thought he would have a career in the Air Force. While the idea of worldwide adventures with him seemed fun, I was not very excited about living far away from family for long periods of time.

But for just one year? When we’re a lot older and we don’t have itty-bitty kids?

If, and yes, it’s a very big if, we moved to Italy, it would be after Mark retired from the police department. And that’s at least 18 years away, more likely 28 years away.

We’d live there, homeschool any kids we had still living at home, and travel around Europe.

How fun would that be? 😉 Would you come visit us?

Ciao.
